No Two Alike

Waking to a landscape

being transformed

each day,

into one with no hard edges.

Anything with corners,

points,

or lines,

vanishing

into round,

and smooth.

Snowflakes,

in colossal quantities,

no two alike,

have enveloped

the harsh world

of our invention,

and left us

a land that calls to

our senses:

Go softly.

Maybe just for a moment,

before you plow,

and shovel,

rake and scrape.

Go smooth.

Go round.

Try to really understand

this world before you,

transformed,

by millions of snowflakes,

no

two

alike.
