Going Nowhere

They came out wrong,

the windy words,

too many of them

and way too fast.

Garbled meaning,

thwarted intent.

In this world

of rapid response,

there are no take-backs,

messages

sent or said,

through air,

so fast,

so many,

that I’m not sure,

when the time comes,

if I’ll remember

what I meant to say,

at all.

Maybe,

can we try again?
