Just Show Up

Just show up.

Sometimes I just can’t,

and then,

the slide away

from the promises made,

now broken.

Explanations and excuses

tumble forth,

but no one is listening,

no one believes

that I have reached

the outer limits

of my capacity

to interact,

thinking I had more

in me,

wishing I did,

pretending I would,

enough so

I promised to be there,

but I couldn’t,

just show up.

And now,

the repairs,

again.IMG_4154
