From Below

Cool winds,

from the back end

of rain,

that settled the dusty earth,

that came and went quickly,

leaving us

wanting more,

but I must learn

patience,

never letting

my wanting more,

to become more than

a humble request,

and not

an entitled demand,

for cool winds,

down and over from countless

mountain ranges,

bring currents,

that lift

the wings of birds,

and the dreams

of those,

who watch from below.
