Into Star Light

Most days,

I wake up

into star light,

millions of years old.

On its way here,

what other worlds,

did it illuminate?

Our sun,

perfect in its radiance,

just enough

to light our way,

calling out life,

from seed,

water,

and musky loam.

The curling squash,IMG_7221

the crusty mollusk,

the thundering elephant,

all of us,

beneath a sky,

full of stars.
